$1 Billion Effort Launched to Protect 30% of the Planet by 2030

The U.S. has the highest GDP, but not the highest GDP per capita

What does that have to do with what we are talking about? The study on charitable giving is measuring charitable giving as a percentage of GDP. I brought up the fact that the United States also has the largest GDP.

To recap, I am saying the USA has the largest GDP and of that largest GDP, also the largest % of giving of that GDP. And the only reason I am saying this is in response to some yokels that claim the United States doesn't do anything to help the world. They are saying this in the comment section of a news story about an American foundation pledging $1b to "protect 30% of the planet" within the next 12 years.

So, whatever point you are trying to make, it is obvious its only to bitch about the USA.
