A politician running for president decided to solidify his votes in the rural areas of his country. So, he visited a village, but since they spoke the ancient language of his country(which he could not speak), he had to get its chief to help him translate.

The chief gathered the whole village to hear the politician speak. He was shocked to see everyone living in the village there to listen to his speech.

"First, if I become President, I will make sure that all of you have as equal rights as any other citizen of this country." the politician declared. The chief quickly translated it for him to the villagers, speaking animatedly. As he said it, one man stood up and shouted, "OOM PA PA!" Slowly, the rest of the village all stood up and began chanting, " OOM PA PA, OOM PA PA!".

The village chief signals for them to quieten down. Heartened at the villagers' apparent belief in him, the politician says," Next, I would make sure our funds will be used to make sure all your needs are taken care of!" Without any prompting this time, the villagers stood as one and began chanting, "OOM PA PA, OOM PA PA!"

Again, the chief calls for silence. The politician, sure of the villagers' confidence at this point, shouts again, "And lastly, every single one of you, regardless of age, will be able to be educated at no cost at any one of our government schools or colleges!" As expected, a resounding "OOM PA PA OOM PA PA OOM PA PA!" came from the villagers, and did not stop or lower in intensity until the chief again called for silence.

After the meeting with the villagers, the chief brought the politician to tour the village. As he was showing him around, he said to him, " This is the village centre, and those are the bull pens. Oh, do take care not to step in the oom pa pa."
