Dissapoint: XV, the broken mechanic of the battle, the items are too abusive for me which ruins the overall gameplay for, no challenge no strategy they at least fixed it on the episode dlc with limited items to have so we have to choose when to use them, but the base game is dissapointing that i dont wanna come back to play again unlike other FF titles which i played which is III, IV, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII all trilogy, crisis core, XIV (if online is counted in this)
honorable mentions is type 0, that game has good potentials but dont know, just it feels lack for me, i like the characters, music, exploration, story, combat, but something just lack for me
Pleasantly surprised: VIII for me, tbh i got into ff the first time was crisis core when i bought a psp and i enjoyed it and then when i got xbox 360 i tried ff XIII when i saw my brother played it and i enjoyed it too at the same time that is when i decided to be a FF fan, played the XIII trilogy and getting all clear like crazy (i know for some fans XIII trilogy is a dissapointment and i get it why, but since at that time i was new to ff and liked it ever since it became a nostalgia for me lol)
and after that i decided to play other ffs, iv ds, iii ds and after that i was going to try ps1 ffs since its also my nostalgia watching my brother playing those game when i was a kid tried VII but i only played 1/4 of the game and didnt continue after that, tried IX i ended it i liked it, and then i tried VIII and i loved every minute of it and decided to clear all achievement on steam without boosters and something else, idk why i loved it maybe because i love the love story of that game and the plot twists, and the development of the main character since then i get it why the 3 FFs on ps1 was so popular and very nostalgic for them now, and ever since now VIII was my fav FF although they lack in the gameplay mechanic like the boss lvs and spells is depending on your average party lvl, and the annoying rng of triple triad to get that rule XD (but honestly at that time i enjoy it)
honorable mention: XIV since i dont actually like mmorpg with monthly subs like wow, i was avoiding XIV, but when XIV became ARR or 2.0 i tried the free trial and suddenly got hooked up with the story and gameplay, surprised i really enjoyed this ff mmorpg and ever since then i was subbing until now the 5.x shadowbringer, and also the memories i share with my Free Companies at that time when they welcome me to this game and have some time together was also the reason why i kept playing even though we were going our seperate ways now, because of some things happening, a little sad though i now usually played alone now instead, but its okay i for me as long as i have fun and msq getting interesting
