When he asks for ideas, sometimes I do. Mostly, he's pretty resolute about what he wants. LOL early on I learned that asking for clarification/explanations once he's basically decided is a no-go. Unless it's something really big to me or my opinion is solicited outright, I try not to interject my thoughts without softening them enough so I'm not critiquig; if I do that all our commutation shuts down.

He's pretty patient and kind normally, and super take charge and a bit gruff, but a keeper ☺️the harder bit is when he's been drinking. He likes to go pretty hard, and sometimes misunderstandings happen- he gets a bit riled up and doesn't really remember it the next morning. He's super apologetic afterward and he's gotten A LOT better about the drinking (he admits openly that it's his stress reliever and that it played a large part in his cheating/ending his past relationship). It depends, sometimes he'll talk about experiances with ex girlfriends, other times he'll just get into it with one of his friends about politics and just leave, but not remember that I don't really have a way to get home...or he'll mention my lack of education, but we have the same amount. It just is nitpicking, really, and I know that if I stay calm and just act unaffected it'll blow over, but sometimes the comments sting, or I get angry or cry which makes everything worse. He's told me when sober that sometimes he just gets

I have a hard time letting go of the resentment though, and being kind--I remember all the upleasentness because I'm not a big drinker. I don't think it's respectful to gossip/vent to friends about my SO, so I tend to keep my feelings to myself, but it share for me to act warmly to him. Then he reacts to my bad mood and has a beer to take the edge off and one turns into many...Sometimes it makes him very romantic, though, which is sweet. Like I said before, it's gotten a lot better than it was when we first started dating. His own sisters have said I bring out a much better side of him than how he was before, and i do see a big effort to improve.
