10 Gigabit Internet Is Coming Within a Decade

I live in a country with no data caps, I have a fully symmetrical unmetered 2 gigabit fiber connection at my apartment I pay $70 a month for, I work from home, we just completed a 4 month project that generated terabytes of files and data that was synced in a real time between me, my office, and freelancers and staff in their homes around the city, in China, Korea, and our production partners and clients in the UK.

There were some days I needed to push 100gb of updates through to the Chinese GPU render farm to process, and one day where I had to do it twice. It was ridiculously fast, and the connection still had enough bandwidth to run the server sync between the office and my place all while I fucked around on YouTube waiting for the transfers to finish.

Having this level of fast, reliable, unmetered connection available basically transformed my industry, I couldn't even imagine trying to pull this off using Comcast or some other terrible ISP.
