10 Reasons Why CS:GO Doesn't Suck As Much As You Think

Ranks don't mean anything. I repeat, ranks don't mean anything. Pros don't care about their ranks

Wow, so you are one of those people, ok. I'd strongly argue that the majority of people do care about their ranks. The fact that you say they don't mean anything is monumentally dumb. You can literally say that any sort of game doesn't matter as its only a game. The fact that so many people got into this game and tried to rank up and have spent so much time playing MM clearly shows that ranks matter to people. Also, try getting into any team or playing on some sort of event night (community etc..) and they all ask what rank you are to match you equally, this shows ranks clearly do matter.

I know people get upset about the rank balancing and it doesn't mean anything in terms of skill changing, just the distribution but imagine this way, you go to the olympics and you win a gold medal at some sport, you come home and display this medal on your wall. A year later some fucker from the olympics board shows up and says that we have now changed the rules and because the level of skill is now much higher we are taking away your medal and giving you this silver one. Its not gonna affect the fact that your skill let you win that day but you are still gonna pissed off you cant show that gold medal.

Ok, now find me a pro that is struggling to get out of silver and then tell me that rank doesn't matter.

Also, the bit about pro's dont care about ranks, for a start i'd say that is something you pulled out of your ass but maybe you actually interviewed a bunch of pro's, i don't know. But i'd take a guess that a bunch of them are probly quite proud that they are GE. I also don't give a fuck about what pro's think and the fact that most people get noticed on rank s as im not playing this game to try and become a pro, but to relax and do something with my free time that doesn't involve real world shit and the fact i can show that i have this nice little rank picture on my profile is quite cool.
