[10-YEAR OLD IMPRESSIONS] Drake - So Far Gone

I was a freshman in college and this was that new shit... sonically, nothing was sounding like this. Seriously, no one was incorporating singing into their raps. I remember hearing I'm still fly and Best I ever had and it was like I never heard something like that before. There was something more raw/authentic in a rapper singing, it was like pure creativity. You can say what you want about the 808's and heartbreak influence, but it wasn't that well received when it first came out. Also, this tape changed the mixtape game because it was almost all original content, I think Drake got a grammy nommination from this. Mixtapes back then were mainly freestyles over other artists' beats, which you will never see nowadays (for the better imo).
