I 100% agree with Kenith that Epic will wait to give us an FOV slider (sorry for twitter sc)

As someone that's worked at many startups and tech companies (and founded one!) that make consumer products in and out of the gaming industry, the truth is that tech companies prioritize features that have the biggest impact on the metrics that matter to them most.

The odds are very high that while crosshairs and FOV slider feel important to the pro community, they have minimal impact on the broader userbase, revenue, engagement. Most complaints about Epic decision making are missing the lense of how a product director would look at what needs to be done NEXT. There are 150m+ MAUs for fortnite and most aren't sweaty. They are casual players who are happy with the default settings. The things that have the biggest impact are performance bugs, features that drive engagement on casual players, and the esports features that highlight how incredible Unreal Engine is becoming.

I've never encountered a product lead who thought they should hold off on a feature for when people start to leave a product the way Kenith described because it's too hard to anticipate, and lack of that feature likely wouldn't be the root cause of people leaving nor would it be the reason they stay.
