100 pounds gone

Honestly what has really helped me is intermittent fasting. I’m not strict about like 16:8 or 20:4 like some people but I always skip breakfast and just because of my work schedule I take my lunch at 4pm so that’s when I eat my first meal. Then when I get home I’ll have something else if I’m hungry. But none of my meals are really large. I also only try and eat when I’m actually hungry which I really struggle with because I love food. At my new job I’m also on my feet and moving the entire time so literally just walking everyday as helped me. I started out in a 2XL/3XL shirt but I bought a large shirt a couple months ago just for like motivation. So whenever I don’t see much change on the scale, I’ll throw on the large shirt and see how it’s starting to fit different. I wouldn’t wear that size out in public yet because it’s still way too tight but just seeing it get slowly more lose in certain areas when I try it on has kept me motivated. I’ve also made a promise to myself that when I actually properly fit in that large shirt is when I’ll buy new clothes. My clothes now are getting pretty baggy, but still wearable. I am excited to buy new things so that’s something that’s kept me motivated as well. Another thing I always tell myself is if I want to snack or have something when I’ve already eaten enough for the day, I just say in my head “It’s not like you’re never going to eat a Whopper again (put me on blast but I love Burger King) you just aren’t going to eat it today.” And that thought process has really helped me. Because I know I’ll still be able to eat my favorite foods but I don’t need to eat them all at once or on the same day. It’s honestly been a very mental game for me so far I think my own thoughts and mind have been the biggest obstacle that I’ve had to overcome.
