100 rounds of .22lr up for grabs

Took two guys out a couple of weeks ago. Started slow with a CZ-455 .22lr bolt action. Then we suppressed it. They liked that. Then a Marlin 795 with Tech Sights and sling, standing. I let them try a single round in the mag at a time for a couple of shots, then 5 rounds. They tried without and then with the sling. Sling was better. Then we went to handguns. I brought the wrong cylinder for the Ruger Single 6. My plan was, again, to start slow. So we went to the Ruger 22/45 with a single round at a time for a couple of tries. Then five rounds with the suppressor. We did not aim, just trying them out with a bit of NPOA, do the same thing each time, don't worry about the sights, see how you group. A guy next to us let us try his 3 - count 'em, 3! - Colt Pythons, barrels 4 & 6 inches. Then we went to the 9mm CZ 75B. A step up in recoil, semi-auto, so again 1 round at first. Then 5. They got the gist of it and we were halfway to closing so we boogied to the rifle range. M1 Carbine, seated and standing. Then AR-15, seated and standing. They seemd to like the AR a lot, even though I was getting a lot of failures to fire. Did not troubleshoot that much, eventually started going smoothly. Then...big boy pants time: M1 Garand, standing. 1 round at first. Then an 8 round clip. I think you absorb recoil better standing. They went back to the AR and appreciated the difference! Then they got to try the Ruger American with a nice Zeiss Conquest scope, and got cloverleafs at 50 yards. We were out of time, or I'd have posted targets at 100 or 200.

My goal was to introduce a nice variety of firearms, and introduce concepts in small, digestible chunks. The big holes in my lineup are a sweet revolver, which our neighbor in the next lane more than covered, and the AK. Oh, and shotgun. We covered a lot in 4 hours.
