Yeah but there's different levels of political that people are okay with. If it's telling it's own story and things are political in the sphere of the story (Like COD), that's one thing. What people don't like is when people put real world names and situations into games and being told they're bad. Since people don't tend to like having their ideologies talked down to in a video game.

Personally I'm fine with any level of politics as long as I'm able to pick a side and not be forced to support something I don't want to (Like Dragon Age or Mass Effect). That's why I mostly play RPGs.

But then you've got people who think Pong and Mario Kart are political statements.
