You can say a lot of stuff about soldiers but I respect them a lot more than cops for this simple reason - they go into the job knowing full well it might end up with them being shot, and they're okay with it. Cops go into it also knowing they might get shot, and then bitch and whine like scared children every time any danger actually comes up, and they're getting more paranoid every year, to the point where they think they need to be armed more than soldiers because they have their pants full all the time now apparently. If they at least had any courage maybe people would respect them more, but now it's just this constant "I have to shoot everyone just in case, because I'm scared they might shoot me". If you can't stand the heat, get out the kitchen goddamn it.
