15 Books That Will Make You More Intelligent in 2016

IQ is a pretty monochromatic metric of intelligence. In life, EQ especially with regards to cognitive empathy is probably the most important aspect of intelligence that leads to success. In addition, intelligence has many other aspects too that can be broken down and measured now.

His post is just irritating because it overly chunks complicated concepts like intelligence (which is ironically an indiciation of low intelligence). For one he equates intelligence with IQ and IQ is an outdated metric and we've learned so much about how emotional intelligence is more important along with other holistic factors.

In addition, neuroplasticity is an important field of research in cognitive science and there is a lot of evidence that an unpracticed mind loses the ability to operate at a high level or learn as fast as time progresses. The ability to form new memories becomes impaired without practice and slow as you age. And while the rate of learning is different between people, the brain is extremely malleable and can form what is practically infinite memories. So hard work still matters more than being "smart."

Which is to say this guy annoys the shit out of me.
