15-year-old kid creates a "normal camera app" that actually live streams the users using it to prove the deficiencies in the Apple app store and how other apps might be spying on us

so the camera app requires you to start recording, then uploads the stream to the cloud. that doesn't seem insane for apple to approve. i would be much more interested in a test where the camera starts recording without user input, e.g. it asks for your permission to use the camera to take a picture for an avatar, then records every time you're in the app. would also like to see something like he said in the video, a game or some other diversion up on the screen while the camera secretly records. i'm def listening, just not convinced yet. otoh apple's review process is controlled by people, and people are a big attack vector. it does appear to me that a skilled developer could obfuscate the code enough to make this happen.
