£150 cost of living payments for Scottish households

There are a lot of families struggling to afford their current properties who will miss out as it’s based on council tax.

Me and my wife moved into a new family home just before covid hit. She lost her job which meant she wasn’t entitled to furlough, hasn’t been back in work since and we’re not entitled to help as my wage is apparently enough.

Sold my car and everything I could to help keep us afloat, and now mortgage is going up due to the new interest amount, cost of living has increased as well as everything else.

I wish I’d taken the mortgage payment holiday but thought we could power through and by the time we were in dire straights it had ended.

Luckily my wife is in the last stages to getting her new job hopefully next month but the last two years have been rough, and now it looks like well just miss out on this.

Only saying this as I doubt we’re the only ones in this kind of situation.
