16 New Year addresses of Merkel

Yeah basically everything was fine until 2016. We had a big coalition of Social Democrats and Conservatives (with one or the other being morepopular) for decades. But in 2016 the Social Democrats had some internal struggles and this basically fucked up the whole coalition and the Social Democrats lost a lot of their popularity.

And after the elections in 2017 the Conservatives teamed up with our right-wing party and everything had been fine again for 2 years. But in 2019 the government collapsed again because there were serious accusations of drug use and corruption against the leader of the right-wing party (Ibiza affair).

Now we have a Conservative-Green government. Let's see what the future brings.
