The show deal with themes regarding consciousness, subconsciousness, identity and it relation to memory, communication between ourselves and others. Plenty of symbolism and hints to the grand story. And the plot itself is airtight with specific events that matter a lot.

If you invested the time to watch it then invest some more into reading or watching some explanations. There is no short of recourses online.

But I don't think you're interested in what the show trying to sell which is fine but dismissing it as bad just because you didn't bother to understand is silly. Because objectively there is a purposeful writing and obvious intentionality in the story.
