I would check the middle school yearbooks vs the high school yearbooks. In my opinion, he was NOT a huge part of the community. (Homeschooled?) If he would have attended schools regularly for consecutive years, multiple people would have recognized him by now..there are only (according to the saying) seven degrees of separation between most people and the picture has been shared to thousands of people on the grand strand (myrtle beach area) where he supposedly lived! Why are more people not coming forward with some sort of facts?.his mother clearly claimed "Jason c---from myrtle beach"...why is she the only one saying this along with the roommates who claimed they met him while on a church trip (or someone met him and took him away). There had to be a connection between the families church and the boy. A retreat? Myrtle beach christian retreat? How about the Meher baba center? For some reason this boy seems as though he was slightly secluded. His avenue out was to go with people who were part of a church group when I have read he discussed atheism-very odd...I have a strong feeling he may have been a BABA and Meher baba has a full blown spiritual center in myrtle beach/north myrtle beach area... It is one of the only ones in the country and the followers are more hippish than other religions, coming from all over the world...they are required to wear closed toed shoes due to the rough terrain around the center. And I noticed in the "church" picture everyone was wearing shoes that were closed toed and he was wearing socks with sandals. On the other hand, that could just been what they do in any church and for the times (94 Birkenstock and socks were popular)...I think the slightly withholding of information is a problem because everyone wonders about things that the roommates should know and could answer....like where he was when they met him ..at a specific church? If someone knew where/what church he could have been identified faster, I'm sure.. .what were the circumstances to which they left myrtle beach with complete stranger..(did he want to be away or did his mother ask someone take him?)..really anything would be helpful but all of us Wanna be FBI agents start contacting people that are not the right people because we don't have information--just speculation/ we have to search for unnecessary things and waste time when the answers are known. now the mother has claimed him as her son...lets just hope somebody gets the ball rolling and I have a feeling it will be a loong waiting game since everyone is very secretive about what they seem to know...and I do understand that to a certain degree due to the crazy people on the Internet...but this was not an active investigation by horry county police (at the beginning, anyway)...
