1st Timer - Have a few questions for experienced worker-outers

I'm kinda new to calisthenics, but based on my experience with bodybuilding and sports bulking and cutting don't really work with nattys, most of the time when bulking you'll primarily gain fat and when you cut it will take so much time that you'll loose a ton of your muscle mass, and then you'll try to bulk again and then you'll cut again and keep going like that for ever...

Based on my own experience and what I saw many friends go through, I recommend you to cut now until you feel comfortable with your body and go to a tiny caloric surplus all the time, you will build muscle slowly, but you'll build less fat and you won't need to do some stupid cutting, wich ends up making you loose a lot of muscle. If you notice that you're getting a little bit fat or not gaining weight just adjust your calories intake but remember to increase/decrease them slowly so you'll be able to get the best results.

Also don't expect to build more than 8 pounds of lean mass per year, I mean many people can build way more than that especially in the first year they train hard and consistently, but some may build less than that, wich is okay just keep going and never give up!
