[2.4] Legacy of Nightmare Builds

I have been messing around w/ Tempest Rush combined w/ these rings. I don't quite have it figured out for myself yet, but I think I am on the right track.

Gear wise is as follows (as far as what I think is working):

  • Weapon - Balance
  • Bracers - Ceasar's Memento
  • Gloves - Frostburn
  • Helm - Leoric's Crown
  • Pants - Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan
  • Shoulders - Mantle of Channeling
  • Boots - The Crudest Boots
  • Belt - String of Ears (not entirely sure about what I should put here)
  • Chest - Aquila Cuirass (I am reasonably sure its possibly to stay well above 75% resource 90% of the time at least)
  • Cube - Furnace, APD, and ORotZ (might change ORotZ to CoE after I test out if I can stay above 75% resource w/o spamming Mystic Ally)

I am actually missing both the Mantle of Channeling and Aquila Cuirass, and as for the latter like I said I believe I can stay at 75%+ resource to benefit from the damage reduction. If not, I am not exactly sure what chest piece I should try next.

The current build I am using is THIS. I am only using Sweeping Wind for the 8 extra spirit/sec, haven't tried the build w/o it yet, so it may not be needed if you have enough resource cost reduction. Serenity is basically just a filler at this point in time, didn't really have any idea of what else to use since, this build is really just about holding down Tempest Rush. I also am not sure if I like Momentum or not, was thinking of changing it to another defensive passive, maybe Sixth Sense or something, and I have Beacon of Ytar on my Hellfire which is why its not selected.

What ties this build together is the interaction between Frostburn, Ceaser's Memento, and the Flurry rune. Flurry can stack to 100, and then when you stop channeling you send out a frost shockwave. So, when you're running around flurrying stuff and you freeze it thanks to frostburns, not only does your tempest rush channel benefit from 400% more damage but the frozen shockwave does as well. So basically is Tempest Rush around round up a could batch of mobs, have a decent/max stack of flurry, try to time when you stop channeling when a majority (or good amount) of mobs are frozen and watch them explode. Now granted, so far I only have 6 ancient items equipped, and I've only tried this build in Greater Rift 65 (clearing them in roughly 7 minutes each (they weren't the densest of rifts) but, when I happened upon a blue pack or gold elite, and I had say 35+ (I think you would want closer to 50+ to be sure) stacks of Flurry, and I timed it to stop channeling when they were frozen, I would instantly kill them. The Rift Boss was roughly the same, I don't have a screenshot but if a RG at 65 has about 800B HP I did about 400 or 500B damage in a well timed explosion at 75+ stacks. I believe that if I had my missing shoulder and chest piece I could easily cruise through 72+ and if I had full ancient I believe 75+ is easily possible.
