It's 20 degrees outside right now. How can the homeless possibly survive this?

What kind of question is this? Are you asking how humans acclimate to living in colder temperatures? Are you asking how endothermic organisms operate? Are you suggesting that 20 degrees is outside the realm of survival for a human? Are you unaware of fire? Do you not know the numbing effects of alcohol and narcotics? Do you not know that unhoused people live in much, much colder climates that Seattle? It's -22 in Denver right now.

Are you asking these questions or are you pondering the horror of 18 degrees outside of normal temperatures this time of year?

Or is it a subversive way of suggesting that it's outright cruel to allow people to live in those conditions? I'd say it is.
