I make $20/hr and still struggling

Hey, so there's a few things here:

1: Just because you see someone having a romantic relationship/kids doesn't mean you can assume what sort of work they're doing in regards to those things

2: You don't necessarily know someone is driving, cooking, cleaning, etc. They could be dropped off by a spouse, take public transport, eat out/eat frozen or prepared food or food cooked by partner, partner or hired help could clean...

Or in some cases things at home might be struggling due to their work. Someone could appear to have it all together and be taking everything in stride... but their room is stacked with dirty dishes and the laundry is piling up.

The people you've worked with shouldn't HAVE to work to support themselves. That is a tragedy in one of the richest countries in the world. If they want to/feel up to it- great! But many are forced due to trying to keep benefits/health insurance, money to pay co-pays and bills, etc.
