20% Surcharge not including tip at the restaurant I just ate at. I’ve never seen this before and not sure if it’s common but what BS.

No, I mean, paying people to make food so you don’t have to because it’s “better” than you could do or somehow more “convenient” is a scam.

Not the stupid menu or how they’re charging you whatever they’re charging you.

They have tricked you into paying a ton of money to do something you should know how to do. The very concept is literally a scam. And you people love it.

I’ve had to deal with people over the phone that had no idea what to do when a third-party delivery service didn’t deliver one of their meals. I suggested they call the delivery service, re-order it, with a refund, of course, because I don’t have any delivery staff, and they didn’t want to drive to our restaurant because what’s the point of delivery (more crybaby shit), and when he didn’t want to do that because “then all our food would be cold,” I was treated to a caustic “what is she supposed to do for food?!?!” over the phone line.

Restaurants have tricked these people into being utterly helpless children, and you’re upset because the check is a lil bit tricky-wicky for you.

You’ve all been fucking scammed. And that’s how I pay my bills.
