2016 Abu Dhabi GP - HOT or NOT results - r/formula1

I know you're biased for Ricciardo, but I'll bite anyway.

Hardly a way to open a discussion. Its like saying trying to frame it in a way thats not really a discussion. You're equally biased towards Verstappen if thats the case.

Verstappen then manages his supersoft tyres to do 22 laps, where Pirelli has stated that the supersofts won't be much use beyond 12 laps. Don't forget he's also been overtaking a lot of cars and driving in dirty air during those beginning laps, not ideal for your tyres.

He wasn't really managing them though. He was just driving around extremely slowly and Nico wasn't passing him. Lewis was just sitting ahead waiting for Nico. That wasn't a race.

But I don't expect you to listen to reason. You are singling out Verstappen because of your Ricciardo glasses.

Again, you're not discussing you're just throwing accusations.

I see your point. But the reality of it is that without Red Bull extremely destroying Ricciardo's strategy with ridiculous pit timing, Ricciardo and Verstappen aren't even in the same race. And without Rosberg sitting behind Max being told not to engage him, that also isn't a race.

Max lucked into a different strategy largely because of his own error and got caught up in between the battle for the title and no one was game to go near him. Which is fine, but I with his lap 1 error its hard to consider that race anything other than mediocre.
