2016 Kia Sportage on 3rd engine at 59k miles and damaged again

So what engine do you have? If you're not oblivious and uninterested with regards to your car then tell us if it has the he 2L turbocharged I4 or the 2.4L naturally aspirated I4?

Nobody should be absolutely & completely 100% clueless about the engine in their car and when they are, it comes as no surprise to everybody else that they are having reliability issues.

My mother, for example, could not possibly be any less interested in cars and even she knows her '08 Santa Fe has the V6 motor and, while it could mean nothing, lo and behold even an elderly retiree such as herself managed to make it 13 years & ~80k miles without having the engine replaced....

Don't pretend like you're not oblivious, and while you may be interested now, once problems began, you clearly weren't interested before when you were treating your car like an appliance and just expecting it always work every single time until you were the one ready to make a replacement.
