NC State offers Stephen Tipton

Walk-on

Hey Stephen, I'm so glad to have the chance to meet with you today. I'll cut right to the chase, I've always focused on running a small-ball lineups anchored off by a (really) big man that can run the floor. We have Kyle Taylor and Ross McGinnis, but I want you to be in our starting lineup as a freshman with that guard combo and then center Francis Kazcor and wing Bradley Ingram.

We're not going to contend for an ACC title this year, but we will win with time. I've rebuilt programs before and as an alumnus of NC State, it's personal for me to build a winner here.

I've sent other guards like Lonzo Ball, Colin Sexton and Coby White to the NBL and I'm not going to promise you anything in regards to that--this is a blue-collar school--but I will put you in a position to showcase yourself as best as you can.

NC State has an amazing basketball culture, we drew 16,000 fans per game in a season when we won only 2 ACC games. You have one of the most loyal fan bases in the United States behind you through the thick and thin, the fan base that treated a win over #17 Duke like a natty. When we do make it deep in the NT, it's going to be a party like the east coast has never seen before. To quote the most prestigious coach in NC State history, we will not quit and won't "ever give up."

Come be a part of something big. Let's make a #STATEment.
