2021 TLX Type S Key Specs and Features

“Low $50,000s” for 355hp/354tq?

I don't understand exactly what we're paying “Low $50,000s” for because this car isn't powerful enough, and probably won't really be luxurious enough or lightweight enough, to justify $50k+

and TBH it looks way too much like a Nissan Maxima for my liking. Not that the Maxima is a bad looking car IMO, it's just that neither it or this TLX look like $50k.... just my opinion.

I thought the whole point of Japanese/Korean luxury was to get near german quality at way below German piercing? The significant financial upside to buying an TLX Type S, Genesis, or Stinger seems to have virtually disappeared.

I feel like I missed something, like I been asleep for a few years, when exactly was it that that Asian luxury automakers decided to stop undercutting the germans and start going toe-to-toe in their face?
