20F Being emotionally unavailable hinders my friendships and love life but benefits my academic and professional life. How should I proceed?

HAHAH You're making me sound way cooler than I am, but my hookups aren't frequent, and I'm still pretty inexperienced. However, I definitely agree, with that last point, because I honestly feel disposable, and my last experience made me realize that I want someone to be there for me long term.

I was just about to list everything on my plate, but you're right. I use the time excuse. I actually overcompensate for my social/love life by excelling academically and professionally and use a busy schedule as an excuse and way to justify why my social/love life is lacking, but wow that's a totally different issue I need to address.

I mean the only access to single people are through apps, and the people on there aren't really looking for anything substantial, so I just go with the flow with the casual encounters. Also I'm in a female dominated field, so that doesn't help :(
