This question is directed to fellow k-army: Do you feel like this break could be politically motivated? Since they will have “diplomatic duties” in the coming year, do you think either the government and/or Hybe felt they needed to conduct themselves in a certain way, meaning not appearing on variety game shows anymore? I’d appreciate feedback from people who have an understanding of the nature of Korean politics. I have a sneaking suspicion that social pressure may have been a factor in this decision (along with everything else that others have mentioned), and that they may go back to what they were doing before when their political appointments end, or their assignments are completed. I’m also not sure how the length of their appointments may be affected by their military service and the presidential election in 2022. K-army - any thoughts?
