# 22nd SAS Regiment | "B" Squadron

## About us:
**The 22nd SAS Regiment | "B" Squadron** is a **Serious UK/EU Arma 3 Realism Unit** that aims to provide the experience of being in a Military structure of the **SAS** with the **emphasis** on __**ShackTac's**__ concept of __**Serious Fun**__. The experience will include persistent deployments in various parts of the world with operations similar to how the actual **SAS** operates.
**Operations** are carried out on **Friday's** and **start** at **8PM BST**
## Rotations:
B Squadron will move through different rotations much like the real SAS. This provides a helpful way of describing the different nature of the operations we are currently undertaking. These are:
- **Counter-Terrorism** - These are standalone operations that emphasise precise, focused tactical execution. The idea is that these take the place of training between deployments by presenting an opportunity to refine skills and teamwork through practical work in a live-fire operation.
- **Operational Deployment** - These are multi-week persisent operations with evolving storylines that build from one session to the next. It's important to note that these deployments use our in-house framework which persistently tracks your location, inventory and vehicles. You will need to plan accordingly because where you disconnect, is where you will restart.
- **Squadron Training** - These are occaisional training exercises to teach new recruits the ropes or to teach leadership skills to prospective team leaders. These sessions will include a mixture of instruction and practice.
## How we prepare for operations:
Each week, the SIS Officer will gather intelligence and put together a target package. The Squadron Commander will then put together a plan of execution with team members.
An OPORD will then be issued during the week, before the in-game briefing, which all team members are encouraged to read.
It is our intention that every mission will have clearly defined objectives and end conditions.
## Troop Specialisation:
Although SAS troops tend to specialise as either an Air Troop, Boat Troop, Mountain Troop or Mobility Troop, for the sake of gameplay variety B Squadron will undertake operations which utilise a variety of these specialisations
Although we are a new and growing unit, we have a wealth of experience from running Arma units and developing modifications over several years. We are currently using our own developed framework which enables highly persistent, multi-session deployments which we believe will offer a unique, fun and challenging experience to those who join us. It also creates interesting gameplay for those who are interested in playing a more logistical game as SFSG.
In our operations we will work with an intelligence officer who provides a target package. The operation team will then develop a plan and work to execute it effectively. Our focus is on growing a highly effective, close knit team who work well together.
