You did the right thing, and if this destroys your relationship with those that kept quiet, honestly, you're probably better off. You'd probably want to be told if someone was cheating on you, since you did the right thing and told that girl - and I don't think those people can be counted on to have your back in that situation. You did nothing wrong, I've been cheated on and there were a couple people that knew before I found out myself and I cut contact with them immediately because that was its own form of betrayal in my book. Don't second guess yourself here just because you found yourself dealing with a group of people with low-morals. You did a good thing and should be proud of yourself. I'd walk away from that group and not look back, you're better off.
