BTW, I don't think you have particularly hooded eyes, besides it's a continuum. What I visually saw is the light color was bringing that area forward because then the mobile lid can appear more hooded or receding by contrast. Keeping the upper eyeliner super thin or just tightlining with a crayon under/at upper lash base leaves one with more visible mobile lid as well, thus leaving the area more open and natural looking.
Here's a no-nonsense fairly short youtube vid you may find helpful. She has a pleasant soothing voice which is always a bonus too. I do my eyes a lot like this when I even bother, except I don't use/need the concealer under eyes and sometimes skip creating the "extra lash" at the end. The result is a soft makeup that opens up the eyes, gives dimension and only takes a couple minutes.
