We've had open discussions about meeting his kids. Him and his ex have been separated since last May, divorce was thought to be finalized in September but the courts just stated they wanted a more detailed parenting plan. I am the first girl he has dated since, they were together for fifteen years. She cheated at least three times that he knows of, and the last time resulted in the divorce and she moved away to be with that boyfriend. She has brought a lot of short-term boyfriends home over the past year, and it has been very hurtful for the kids, especially the youngest. So he knows that he wants to take it slow with them. He's the only stable adult in their lives.
