[25M] I've never had a girlfriend, are my looks holding me back?

Aww thanks I appreciate it! I'd like to think I have a good personality. (Warning: I typed a whole bunch only to realize you didn't even ask for all of it, so ignore it if you'd like). I hate having to describe myself, but I'd say I'm a funny, down to earth person who doesn't take himself too seriously and is content with the small things. I'm shy if if I've never met you or in a new setting, but outgoing othwerise(Introverted extrovert type of deal?). I honestly don't know what the issue is, trying to narrow it down now haha. I'd like to think I'm not totally oblivious to advances or signals of interests by the opposite sex. That being said, I can't say I've ever had a female approach me, or make the first move. Not sure if that happens at all, so it might be an unrealistic expectation. If I had to guess there are a few factors as to why it's been a little tough. First off,I was in a crappy tech college for the first 3 years, which I hated going to, so I don't think I met anyone there and didn't really make an effort to meet new people. By the time I made it to an actual university I liked with a good mix of guys and girls who actually cared about the school, I felt like I was the old guy around campus. It was kind of tough to make friends without having met people from dorms and freshman year like most do. Second off, I'm shy and I'm really scared to make the first move unless I'm somewhat confident there is some chemistry. Thirdly, I just hate bars and hook ups, so I've kind of been waiting to find someone who actually wants to date. Kind of hard these days, but I feel as if waiting is better than hooking up with some random.
