26 and heading towards giving up. It does get better, right?

So, I was in this same position when I was 20-21 or so. Just a total loser, didn't know what the hell I was doing and definitely went through a depression phase. I eventually broke out of it though, and the way I did that was simply taking responsibility of things. The only reason I was depressed is because I had a combination of too much time on my hands and simply not being busy enough. Its very easy to hear that voice in your head telling you a lot of bullshit but you'd be surprised how much of its not true when you start taking action on things.

We live in a crazy world but its also full of opportunities to take advantage of, you just need to be willing to put in a little effort to take advantage of it, it does take work at first.

It sounds like your close to maybe getting some type of a job, which is good, but I'd suggest just getting any damn job for now if you fail to get one you want or find other ways of making money. Multiple income sources make things much easier, which is what I've worked towards. Also, a job will at least give you some purpose/responsibility in your life. I worked a ton of shitty jobs until I got a much better one that actually made me financially stable for once. Employers like to hire people who are already working, at least from my experience.
