26, Unemployed, and no one wants me. Do I even have a chance, or should I just give up now?

i was you last year, even with diplomas and internships under my belt. nobody wanted to take a risk. i enrolled into an apprenticeship this year (technically two and i will drop one when i secure a contract at either one of them).

surprise, surprise. i am rolling in propositions and interviews. had one this morning who said i had "so much experience and diverse background". like, yeah no shit. where were you when i was scraping by??

it's tough to say it but a lot of people right now need the backup up of schools/universities/training centers to land something concrete. nobody wants to take the risk on youngsters who don't have contacts.

heck, even said interviewer begged me to reassure her that i was really coming to a second interview. apparently some students ghosted the next step of the process and did not show up even though they stated they were interested beforehand. which ended up reflecting badly on her. hence why we, "good motivated professional" people get shagged afterwords.
