My dad was an absolute scumbag to my mom. Ironically, it was only after they were getting divorced that everyone came forward with the cheating that he was doing with our friends, family, neighbors, and prostitutes.

In short, we were pretty pissed off that no one thought we should know this was all going on when he was still in our lives.

And yes, something like an irreversible STD can happen, and no one deserves that.

Thankfully, my family is fine now but it took YEARS to recover from the hell he put us through. Come to think of it, we'll likely carry the emotional scars for the rest of our lives.

If I were you, I would leave the papers in a place where ONLY the wife would be able to accidentally pick them up. In this way, they can't shoot the messenger and the wife still finds the truth.
