Exactly. (Sorry for a late response lol.) Maybe a bit slower under the blanket of Christianity because of shitty bigoted Baptists/corrupt "preachers"/the kid diddlers. We have a Jesuit pope right now and he's done more for progressing the church than many as of late. When he started, dude snuck past the Vatican guards just to work with the poor at soup kitchens. He's the first to be forgiving and understanding of abortions. Acknowledges progress in science too, unlike a few recent popes. Carrying Catholicism on his back to conform to a modern outlook.

The Bible is literally stories (some true and exaggerated) on how one should be morally. Ffs, in Genesis, god has Adam fuck all the animals to find his other, creationists are so silly. My interpretation about the need to say it's "true": "true" meaning the morals/sacrifices discussed are applicable. The whole Noah's Ark story is "true" in the sense that one should listen to God without the judgement of others, not that some dude spent several years building a boat, rounded up all the animals, and the earth was completely flooded. (Hopefully not heresy:) but who tf would recount a crazy star that leads 3 dudes to give Jesus gifts? People who believe the Bible to be factual correct are just as goofy as people who think every Christian believes the Bible is factual.
