3 charged with murder of Family Dollar security guard over face mask dispute

I used to work a couple blocks from this store. In the city limits of Flint it's basically a miniature version of Detroit. The pizza places inside the city limits have a bulletproof glass lobby. I moved away from Flint after hanging around way too long, and most people here don't believe that fast food gas stations have bulletproof glass interiors where you speak through a metal slot and put your money through a small slit at the bottom. Even the main US post office has that setup. That was just "normal" to me.

Growing up I learned never to look at anyone or talk to anyone. Give someone the wrong look or say the wrong thing, you might "disrespect" them and who knows what the hell they will do. No one has any limits. It's cold most of the time, the city has been run down going on about 60 years, there's no jobs, it's filled with hood rats, and everyone's pissed. For those born there, the best chance at doing anything decent in life is to just move away forever.
