"being forced to pay worthless employees" is a gross exaggeration of the reality that we all need jobs and income to live a fruitful life, not just exist on this planet. Automation is happening and will happen regardless of automation. You couldn't be more wrong and the reality is that if companies are not put in check, they will eventually automate their entire workforce while hoarding billions to themselves. Society cannot safely exist if a large portion of the workforce is unemployed or forced to create a business to compete with Amazon (which is not possible for the majority of Americans). Your vision of utopia consists of the wealthiest of Americans getting wealthier and everyone else getting poorer including yourself (because we both know you aren't in the 1%).
