[30F] almost exclusively contacted by men 10-20 years older...anyone care to chime in?

I’m 38 and for the first time contacting younger women as I mainly dated women older than myself from 2 to 15 years. I’d like to have family. Most women my age or older already have kids, multiple kids with multiple partners, or decided they hate kids or want to solely focus on their careers and are happy where they are in life.

Either way they don’t want kids or are full of a lot of drama with the family dynamics of having so many fathers in the family. Younger women over the age of 30 already have lived life some, figured out who they are and what they want out of a relationship, and are ready for that next chapter of their life.

I am a male nurse. Many females wonder why I am not married or with kids. It is more socially acceptable to be 25 divorced 3 times with 5 kids all involving different fathers then to be male, single, and in your 30s. I would of already settled down by now years ago but it was my career, tragic event, and health that put that aside for the tiem being.

I deployed to Iraq 4 times for a total of 55 months. It puts a strain on either meeting the right woman or trying to maintain a solid releationship. My fiancee took her life in front of me and 3 other soldiers when she was stop lossed and was going back to Iraq even while battling PTSD and MST. I also had to deal with 2 rounds of treatment for cancer which left my health drained.

I'm not an immature 38 year old party animal or a commit phobia. I had a career in the army, I earned my BSN and am working on my MSN, I gained custody of my nephew and spent 7 years raising him, co-founded a non-profit helping wounded veterans, and spent time being involved with the veterans appropriations committee in D.C.

Imagine how you would feel if the man or woman you loved for 3 years took their life with a hand gun in front of you? How would you feel? THink you'd want to run out and get married and have kids on the spot?
