I (31F) brought a homeless man (19M) into my home and currently helping him get back on his feet, AMA

Why do you call people you don’t know « dangerous » ?

Again, its called discernment. If you need a second reason compare the crime rate commited by homeless people to non-homeless. Homelesa are statistically more dangerous.

But god forbid you do the right thing

Oh suddenly you're the judge of what is right and wrong? Like you even know. If you actually cared you would donate money and time to charities and organizations that help the homeless like I fucking do when I donate my time working at the Jimmy Hale Mission soup kitchen every Christmas. Its not much, but its a hell of a lot more than most people do.

Sorry to break it to you, but you take risks everyday of your life no matter what you are doing. The risks you take when you extend a helping hand to someone are no different (and 100% worth it).

Sorry to break it to YOU, but the daily risks taken can be minimized by avoiding dangerous people, like those on hard drugs with nothing to lose. The risks you take are NOT 100% worth it if you lose your life over it. Think about that very real possibility Mr. Risk.

It’s understandable to be too scared to take someone in

Too smart to take someone in does not equal too scared, your ignorance is understandable but please don't try to spread it onto others.
