Hey fellow Canadian here...may I suggest not mentioning the fact that you want someone to model for you or the nudes thing? That could be what's holding you back..but most chicks might be more inclined to discuss something like that after there is the initial connection perhaps? Also there are dating apps you can dl as well.

And meetups app try that as well

I said I'd reply publicly to avoid confusion with others. I'm not sure how many people have this mindset and it's difficult to discuss.

I've read countless posts where a woman says they don't want to be spammed with dick pics. There's nothing wrong with requesting you don't want a sea of dick in your inbox. I get spammed with naked photographs from women and I'm expressing the fact I don't want that. I'd like a conversation. If the roles were reversed and a guy suggested they shouldn't put this in a post, I can't help but feel there'd be an issue with this.

There's also nothing wrong with me saying I want to do fully clothed portraiture. If anything, I think it's pretty disgusting when someone claims to be interested in photography just to get someone naked. I digress...

That's not what's "holding" me back, in my opinion. I've already noticed this post is doing a lot better than previous posts (it's a bit of a fallacious argument to assume that because I asked for a model in this post, it was in my previous post(s) and is therefore responsible for what's holding me back). Modelling certainly isn't a requirement. It was just an afterthought.

What I've found is that when I put the words "attractive" and "intelligent" in the same post, I get downvoted. I may get downvoted after writing this--sure--but at the time of writing it's doing okay. Why? I can only assume because I didn't put the word "intelligent" in there. I guess it screams "arrogance" or something. I think there's more to self worth and belief in yourself than intelligence but I mean, if that's all you care about I guess that makes sense.

I'm aware there are dating apps. However, this post is on r4r, I am talking about r4r. Interestingly, here are a few messages copied almost verbatim from dating apps:

  • "my brother tried to kill himself. I'm on suicide watch. come to the hospital and fill me up with cock?" -- This one I couldn't make up if I wanted to. Naturally I told her I didn't think there were any chicken restaurants available in the area, but that just made matters worse.
  • "how big is your cock?" -- Not very big when that's the first thing someone says to me.
  • "hi. want to meet and go for a meal? I'll show you around canada and we can go to the stampede" ~ shortly after the meal "lets fuck".

I am not a prude but sometimes it would be nice if there was more to substance to the conversations here. I'm aware of what goes on with dating apps, and that's cool. I know what to expect. I've posted here deliberately because it's likely to lead to more discussion than say tinder would. Dating apps usually end in the same thing for me.
