Have a very limited hero pool (2-4 heroes is best imo, since you'll always pick first phase), play a bunch of bot games with them so you're comfortable playing these heroes, focus on your laning stage (mechanically : know your stack/pull timings, keep an eye on the clock, trade hits efficiently, be decent at last hitting/denying | knowledge : know when to pull or stay in lane, what type of pull, whether you want to rotate mid/check bot rune/ward after pulling or not, use your tp wisely), try to ward in a way that enables your team, play off map as much as you can and try to check items/watch your minimap/think about the game rather than be mechanically efficient with your hero.
