35 F-35's from the 388th FW do a show of force over Hill AFB, UT

Super cruise has been a thing since the 50's with the English Electric Lightning and what you said isn't entirely accurate. There have been many interceptors, bombers, and fighters than have been capable of true super cruise, meaning breaking supersonic without using afterburners. However, most fighters today like the F35, Eurofighter Typhoon and the Dassault Rafale have quasi supercruise capability meaning they need afterburners to break Mach 1 but don't need them to maintain speed. This is a more accurate and useful definition of supercruise in my opinion and the operational limit is certainly greater than 10 min. Breaking the sound barrier is actually terrible for stealth which is where development is heading so it's hardly a top tier feature required on 5th gen fighters.
