35-Year Petty Revenge

Reminds me of petty revenge committed by my dad. In like 1969, Shell gas stations did a game promotion with aluminum coins. I don’t remember the exact details of the story but my dad had won something fair and square but Shell wouldn’t pay out for some bogus reason. From that day forward, he refused to patronize Shell gas stations. What’s more, all us kids grew up with an indoctrinated hatred of Shell. Not only did he boycott Shell for the remaining 55 years of his life, his children still do, pretty much. I’ve been driving for like 30 years, and I’ve only fueled up at Shell a couple of times when it was either that or run out of gas.
