Why is $350,000 in Canadian aid being used to send homeopaths to Honduras?

I love how people post the first Google hit without even reading. It's from Haaarhavard so it must be correct, right? No need to read the article!

Had you bothered to read what the thing actually says, it refers to a study done by the US military. On medications solely used by the military, which are not even remotely representative of average people's medicine cabinets.

Are sick people in the military? No. You actually have to be pretty fucking healthy to join the military. Are medicines used in the military representative of the average person's medicine cabinet? No.

So how is that study worth two shits for regular people, many of whom have heart disease and diabetes - the very diseases that they screen out?

Dumbassery like this is what drives people to self-medicate instead of going to to the doctor to get the appropriate prescription. No need to go to the doctor, I know I need to take some antibiotics to make this cold go away! Oh, here's some I had left over from 5 years ago, they must be still good. Harvard said so!
