I (39M) am thinking of Change of Careers After Healing from Codependency

Thank you, this all sounds like great advice. I'm looking forward to my approval to join the group coming through.

Love the sound of your counsellor. By counsellor, you mean like therapist right? I have one I'm generally happy with, even though I feel like any book I mention reading (the big ones- such as 'Body keeps the score' and 'Why does he do that?') or any new term I introduce (for example emotional incest) they have not read (about) and show no intention reading. So I have this niggling doubt that they are not working to learn new things in psychology. I know I should probably address this with them directly. But it feels like a such a harsh thing to say. It's basically I don't think you up to date with psychology today. It's like attacking their work integrity. And like I'm invading their free time, asking them to inform themselves on things important to me.
