3rd day into WoW, and I found out why I quit Dota for this game.

If you plan on doing tanking for the long haul, a tip from someone whose pretty much married to the role : remember that you do have some power in a group and do not let anyone bully you or your group. If you start a vote kick and explain your reason, more than likely that person will be kicked.

I'm not saying to abuse this and kick people who slightly aggrivate you. I'm talking about the ragetards who get into chat and berate you, the other DPS's or the healer for whatever god forsaken reason and they just straight up destroy morale and ruin the fun that is running a dungeon. Those people do not deserve your patience, they are ruining the mood of the dungeon for everyone and you have the power to alleviate that. I give 'em two warnings and then it's the door.

At your level it's not that big of a deal, and honestly even at 110 I've only had to do it twice in Legion after running countless heroics and mythic dungeons (hard difficulty dungeons). But I've been playing since vanilla (and I mean 1.2 / 1.3 vanilla, so waaay back in 2004/05) and I've had to kick my fair share of folks. From dungeons, to raids, to even guilds.

You have the power, in the sheer fact that you're a tank, that can entirely change the mood of a dungeon run. You can turn a bad start into an amazing time by just cutting out the vile parts. So--use it. Try your best to always make sure when the dungeon ends, everyone is at least a little bit happier for running with ya.

Also it doesn't hurt to throw up a, "Good luck and have fun everyone!" at the start. Not a lot of tanks even acknowledge the group when a dungeon starts and it's just kind of sad and boring when the tank just bumrushes forward without a single word to the group.

Just some simple advice! I hope you have a wonderful time in WoW.
