4.0 Competitor Discussion - Borderlands 3

Speculating and comparing two games that you haven't played yet is like trying to compare two puzzles with 95% of the pieces missing.

I love shooters, don't get me wrong, but i didn't find borderlands enjoyable. Remnant: From the Ashes is more my jam, for whatever reason. Usually i like more realistic shooters and even stay away from BR games.

I'm a PoE and nitty gritty game mechanics nerd, but usually the best weapons in these sort of bullet spongy games are ones that have the least recoil and spread with the highest ttk. You are going to be killing lots of things, and there is no competition driving anyone to git gud with other weapons.

I was surprised with how much i enjoyed Remnant, so im going to be trying the free version of Destiny 2 later on. Also tried Warframe, but the game doesn't want me playing it with absurd time restrictions. Destiny 2 might have some time restrictions in the endgame, but at least i can have fun leveling up and stay open to the possibility of getting hooked.

Other arpgs don't really hold anything on PoE, arpgs aren't usually a game genre i like anyways. Previously only played D2 for any extended time. It'd have to be pretty damn great to hold a candle to how much dev time, iteration, and community feedback PoE has gotten.
